Can we avoid WCAG by using metadata?
Given that we sadly know that the wonderful work behind the WCAG (1.0 and 2.0) are often dismissed as not relevant, or too hard, and that very few people take advantage of the excellent ATAG-conformant authoring tools, how easy is it to also ignore the need for good metadata? Why should we work to make sure this does not happen? Are there advantages to be gained from working with metadata that are not available with WCAG? Is it harder or easier to implement? Who should be worrying about metadata - in general, within my context? What do we need to know to use metadata to advantage? and finally, how does it help, anyway?
How do we solve the inclusive language problem?
